A Pakistani man who has an uncanny resemblance to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has been drawing attention.
Saleem Bagga, a 53-year-old food vendor from Sahiwal in Punjab province, sells kheer (sweet pudding) on a roadside push cart. Bagga, with his distinctive blond hair due to albinism, looks strikingly similar to Trump, which has made him a local celebrity.
Pushing his colorful wooden cart along the road, Bagga delivers milky pudding (kheer) to eager customers. Dressed in a black jacket over his beige shalwar kameez, he sings lively Punjabi songs to attract a crowd.
Bagga has now gone viral and even poses for a selfie with customers. “We feel as if Trump himself has come here to sell kheer,” Mohammad Yaseen, a loyal customer who prefers Bagga’s dessert told a media outlet. “When he sings to sell kheer, we come to him.”
Imran Ashraf, another resident, eagerly snaps selfies with Bagga. “His kheer is delicious… We talk to him, take selfies, and show our friends that we’ve met ‘Trump,’” he said.
Bagga is unfazed by the attention and constant cameras. “My face resembles Donald Trump, and that’s why people love to take selfies with me. It makes me feel really good,” he said.
