PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will hold power show in Swabi to express solidarity with founder Imran Khan who marks one year since he was arrested last year.
In this year, the arrangements for the public gathering have been finalised in Shah Mansoor Town, Swabi.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will address the rally at 4pm, for which lights have been installed and a huge stage have been set up.
Pakhtunkhwa Mili Awami Party (PkMAP) chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai and other PTI leaders including PTI chief Barrister Gohar, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub Khan and Asad Qaiser will also address the participants of the long-awaited gathering.
Omar Ayub and Barrister Gohar have reached the site to examine the arrangements of the public gathering.
Earlier, a meeting was also held at Asad Qaiser’s residence to review the arrangements for the rally. PTI chief Barrister Gohar, General Secretary Omer Ayub and Shibli Faraz were present.
Asad Qaiser briefed PTI leadership about the arrangement and assured fellow party leaders of a historical public rally which will be attended by party workers from all corners of the country.
A day earlier, a PTI Sindh convoy, led by President Haleem Adil Shaikh, departed from Karachi’s Al-Asif Square bus terminal for Swabi.
The convoy including PTI officials, Karachi Division leaders, a ctivists, and members of the women’s wing, began its journey in buses and vehicles.
The convoy travelled through various cities including Jamshoro, Hyderabad, Matiari, Hala, Saeedabad, Sakrand, Qazi Ahmed, Naushahro Feroze, Moro, Kandiaro, Khairpur, and Sukkur and received a warm welcome from supporters.
