PTI Chairman Gohar Khan, Raoof Hasan arrested in Islamabad

Islamabad Police on Monday arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan and Information Secretary Raoof Hasan.

Police clarified that they only arrested Hasan during a raid at the party secretariat for heading a digital media cell allegedly involved in running propaganda against the integrity of Pakistan.

The party also condemned the move through its official X account and lambasted the Islamabad police.

“It’s absolutely shameful how Islamabad Police continues to completely mock and disregard every law in this country,” the party said. “Law of the jungle is reigning over Pakistan!”

The party also shared footage showing several police vehicles and a few police personnel outside the party’s central secretariat.

Police denied the report of the arrest of four women as well as the confiscation of a laptop and documents from the office.
